Richard C. Ellis

Richard C. Ellis, 70, of Carlisle, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home.
Born February 25, 1944 in Frederick, MD, he was a son of the late William G., Sr. and Edna R. Miller Ellis.
Richard honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired after forty-two years of employment at Amp Inc. and Tyco Electronics.
Surviving are his wife of forty-six years, Mary Ellis of Carlisle; two sons, Eric Dean Ellis (and wife, Jessica) and Alex Jason Ellis both of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Alyssa, MacKenzie, and Madison Ellis; two brothers, William G. Ellis, Jr. (and wife, Soney) of Newville and Robert Ellis (and wife, Jeannie) of Carlisle and one sister, Dorothy M. Shenck (and husband, Pete) Mifflinburg. He was preceded by two brothers, Kenneth and David Ellis and one sister, Anna Moore.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
