Rev. Howard L. Kaucher Jr.

Rev. Howard L. Kaucher Jr., 80 a resident of Chapel Pointe at Carlisle and formerly of Clay, PA, died Saturday January 1, 2011 in Chapel Pointe.
Born November 24, 1930 in Reading, the son of the late Howard L. Sr. and Mary Fryberger Kaucher and the widow of Elva S. Martin.
Rev. Kaucher devoted his life to pastoring the people in numerous churches of the Brethren. Howard served in churches along the East Coast for nearly 40 years.
Surviving are three sons, Kerry L. Kaucher and his wife Rose, Graham, NC, Kenneth L. Kaucher and his wife Becky, Newville and Keith L. Kaucher and his wife Sue, Carlisle, a daughter, Kathy D. Davidhizer and her husband John, Altoona, a brother, David Kaucher and his wife Helen, Terre Hill, a sister, Ruth Edris, Lebanon, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday January 5, 2011 in the Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple Street, Annville. Burial will be held at Middle Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle, followed by a brief prayer service, there will be an additional viewing an hour prior to the funeral at the church.
