Ralph L. Armbrust

Ralph L. Armbrust, age 78, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his residence.
He was born August 5, 1938 in Greenport, Long Island, NY to the late Walter W. and Dorothy (Parizot) Armbrust.
Ralph was a 1956 graduate of Mattituck High School, NY and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1957-1961. He served on three aircraft carriers, the USS Tarawa, the USS Valley Forge and the USS Lake Champlain. He retired as an electronic technician from Grumman Aerospace. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife Jane M. Armbrust of Carlisle; children, Deborah A. (and husband Jesse) Kuhn of Holtsville, NY, Nancy A. (and husband John) Kotula of Shelter Island, NY and Scott L. (and wife Amelia) Armbrust of Enola, PA; a brother, Robert Armbrust of Kennebunk, ME; a sister, Kathryn Hunt of Robbins, NC; and nine grandchildren, Jessica (and husband Jeff) Berthold, Jenna Kuhn, Ian (and wife Deanna) Kuhn, Michaela Kuhn, Jillian Kotula, Wade Kotula, Gregory, Christopher and Nicholas Armbrust.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey W. Gibelius and Rev. Jennifer J. McKenna officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Cutchogue Cemetery, Long Island, NY. There will be a viewing at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
