Phyllis J. Hoch

Phyllis J. Hoch, 85, of Carlisle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
She was born August 16, 1933 in Kimball, NE to the late Cloise Edward and Sophia Margaret (Frank) Tridle and she was the widow of Donald H. Hoch.
Phyllis was a talented seamstress whose many creations included the outfits she wore square dancing. She enjoyed traveling, collecting dolls and spending time with her family. Phyllis was formerly employed as a housekeeper at Forest Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Presbyterian Home and Green Ridge Village. She was a faithful longtime member of Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church.
Phyllis is survived by one son, Bill F. Arnold of Gardners; three daughters, Linda K. “Lin” (husband Donald) Frey of Newville, Cathy A. (husband Steve) Calaman of Carlisle, and Susan M. Spidle (companion Don) of Carlisle; one step-daughter, Cynthia H. (husband Bob)Slusser of Carlisle; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and seven step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby F. Herman and her son Robert E. Arnold.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA with Chaplain Ed Rabenstein officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
