Pearl E. Camerden, age 77, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Bridges of Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg, PA.
She was born March 4, 1939 in Marysville, to the late Miles and Pearl R. McClintock Tobias and was the widow of the late Everett V. Camerden, USAF SSgt, who passed September 10, 1995.
Pearl was a graduate of Perry Joint High School, Class of 1957 and was a former member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Marysville. She retired from the Commonwealth of PA after 35 years of service as a fiscal technician. Some of Pearl's interests were baking, shopping, tending to her house plants, vacationing in Wildwood, NJ and the shores of Hawaii. She truly loved her cats and was a volunteer for PAWS.
She is survived by her three nieces, Terry L. (and husband Mark) Gross, Carlene L. (and husband Dale) Warner and Sheri Motter; four nephews, Paul Tobias, Jr., Darrell Wolf, Ronald Mell, Jr. and Russell Mell; a sister, Gladys Glenn; two brothers, her twin, Paul Tobias, Sr. and Donald Tobias. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Miles Tobias.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
