Paul D. Thrush Jr.

Paul D. Thursh Jr., 74, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at UPMC Harrisburg.
He was born August 22, 1945 in Carlisle to the late Paul D. Sr. and Mary K. (Rhoades) Thrush.
Paul enjoyed hunting, dirt track racing, talking on CB radios, mowing his lawn and tinkering in the garage. He was a jokester who enjoyed picking on everyone he liked. Paul loved candy, having picnics, and visiting Lake Raystown. He was the long-time owner / operator of Paul Thrush Excavating and was later employed by Jones Custom Harvesting.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Eleanor A. Thrush of Carlisle; two sons, David Thrush (fiancé Jennifer Washington) of Carlisle and Scott Thrush of Carlisle; seven grandchildren, David, Alisha, Hannah, Emily, Mark, Jaidyn, and Jordan; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (husband Larry) Killian of Shippensburg; and one brother, Don (wife Marsha) Thrush of Carlisle.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 to help defray the cost of the funeral.
