Paul Alexander Alston

Paul Alexander Alston, age 34, of Newville, and formerly of Marathon, FL, passed away unexpectedly following a car accident on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
He was born May 23, 1983 in Temple, TX to Scott E. and Lois M. (Kirkpatrick) Alston of Newville.
Paul graduated from Marathon High School in Marathon, FL and attended Tampa Technical Institute. He worked part time for his father’s company, Archer Electric, and was a lawn service technician for GranuLawn. Paul was a big part of Big Spring sports, both as a volunteer and a coach, of the wrestling, football and soccer teams. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially loved animals and people. Paul will be remembered as a kind hearted, hardworking, wonderful father, husband, son and brother who always had a smile on his face
In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by: his wife of 10 years, Michelle R. L. (Varner) Alston of Newville; two sisters, Christina M. (husband Jeremy) Kreitzer of VA and Tiffany A. L. Alston of Newville; three children, Tiffany L., Alexander E. and Hayley M., all of Newville; a nephew, Jacob A. Kreitzer and niece, Annalise Leonard, both of VA; maternal grandparents, Paul and Gay Kirkpatrick of Mechanicsburg; paternal grandmother, Marilyn B. Alston of Dallas, TX and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Ingalls and his paternal grandfather, Col. Charles A. Alston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Linda Kent officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday.
