Norma K. Cogar

Norma K. Cogar, age 85, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.
She was born June 3, 1931 in Bellevue, PA to the late John S. and Alice R. (Rupert) Kelso.
Norma graduated from Clarion College with a degree in teaching. She had a special fondness for animals and would rescue any that needed help. She was passionate about reading, her religion and she enjoyed painting.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roy L. Cogar of Mechanicsburg; and two daughters, Dara S. (and husband James) Baird of Mechanicsburg and Lori L. Cogar of Tacoma, WA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, David R. Kelso.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg with Rev. Anthony D. Lorenz officiating.
