Neala R. Eyler

Neala R. Eyler, 75, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg.
She was born on January 1, 1940 in York, PA to the late Raymond C. and Marie P. Pittman Eyler.
Neala graduated from Boiling Springs High School and then went on to get her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Millersville University. She retired after many years of being a teacher/librarian at the West Shore School District. She was a member of the PA Association of School Retirees; the Cumberland County Chapter of PA School Retirees; PA School Librarians Association; and the Cumberland County School Librarians Association. Neala was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boiling Springs and served for many years on the Altar Guild there.
She is survived by her sister, Annette M. (and husband George) McAlister of Mechanicsburg; two nephews, David (and wife Dyan) McAlister of Carlisle and Craig (and wife Kelli) McAlister of Mechanicsburg; and five grandnephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 111 Walnut St., Boiling Springs, PA with Rev. Brian Biery officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A visitation in the church Fellowship Hall will be held after the services.
