Nancy Walters

Nancy H. Walters, 67, of Carlisle died July 2, 2011 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center, after a long battle with multiple illnesses.

Born Jan. 12, 1944 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Sarah Glatfelter Hair.

Prior to retirement, Nancy had been a Rehab aid at Central Pennsylvania Rehab and the Cumberland County Nursing Home. Nancy was a lifelong member of the Middlesex United Methodist Church. She loved her family and will be remembered as a great wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Larry Walters of Carlisle; one daughter, Lisa Peabody (and husband, Chris) of Boiling Springs; two granddaughters, Danielle Dagen (and husband, Jonathan) of Mt. Holly Springs and Heather Peabody (and companion, Nicholas Shank) of Carlisle; three great grandchildren, Chase and Brynley Dagen and Isabella Shank; and two brothers, Edward Hair (and wife Evie) of Carlisle and Fred Hair (and wife Ruth) of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Lee Walters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 North Middlesex Road, Carlisle with Rev. Jacob Waybright officiating. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.

Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 North Middlesex Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
