Nancy Jane Miller

May 15, 1947 — November 14, 2015

Nancy Jane Miller, 68, of Boiling Springs, PA, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her home after a long struggle with cancer. She passed away in the arms of her loving family on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Donald P. Miller and their best friend and loyal pooch, Hope, of Boiling Springs PA. Don and Nancy were married on December 21, 1969. They were each other's best friends. They loved and cared for each other over the years. They have been through so much and it just made them stronger. They had a strong and loving marriage that lasted nearly 46 years.
Nancy was born at the Carlisle Hospital, Carlisle, PA, on May 15, 1947. Nancy is the daughter of the late Robert S. and Stella I. Kramer of Mechanicsburg, PA, formerly of Gardners, PA.
Nancy attended Boiling Springs High School until her sophomore year and then graduated high school from Cumberland Valley in 1965. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her family was her biggest joy. She leaves behind a special legacy of love and kindness. Nancy loved scrap booking, watching the Dallas Cowboys play football, enjoyed Dancing with the Stars, NASCAR, Little league baseball games and long drives to see the changing of the leaves in the fall. She fought her cancer with grace and courage while remaining jolly. She was a fighter and never wanted to give up. Skylar was the Twinkle in her eye. She fought so hard because she never wanted to leave her precious, beautiful baby girl. You are our hero and we are so proud of you! She had a way of making friends and making people feel special and in turn they would absolutely love and adore her. She will always be remembered for her smile and laughter that lit up the universe, her gentle, soft hands and her loving heart as big as an ocean. She might be gone from the earth but never from our minds and heart. She is a great example of Jesus' love for us for she loved us all unconditionally. To her very special friends. We thank you for the love, kindness, compassion, laughter and support you gave my Wife and our Mom over the years. Words cannot express our sincere gratitude.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Melissa and Joy. Loving Daughter, Melissa (Miller) Frick, Dennis (son in law), Step Grandsons Zachary of England, Olly, Dillon, Ryan and Kieran of Boise, Idaho and a Great Grandson, Joshua of England. Loving daughter, Joy (Miller) Johnson, William and her special, adoring and loving Granddaughter Skylar of Carlisle. Loving Sister, Karen Mae Altland, Dennis (brother in law) and two nephews Brandon and Clinton and (wife) Kay. Loving Extended Family the Perry's. Lisa (Hadix) Perry now of Edmond Ok, formerly of Boiling Springs, PA. Her husband Dennis, children Haley and Dillon, and granddaughter Haven "Jelly Bean" (Haley's daughter). Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, John F. Kramer, of York Springs, PA.
She has met many people and made many friends in the medical community through her journey. Doctors, nurses and patients grew to love her. Our Family sends their most heartfelt thanks to the most amazing medical staff who lovingly cared for my Wife and our Mom since 2008. Dr. Matthew Davidson, DO, Dr. Kathryn A. Peroutka, MD, Dr. Ronald D. Kratz, MD, Amy E. Cleck, CRNP, Dr. Raymond E. Dahl, DO, Dr. Luciano A. Dimarco, DO, the staff at Andrews & Patel Associates, P.C., Chemotherapy nurses Renee and Suzie, Celtic in home care nurses; Shannon, Kristen and Rachael, Celtic care Hospice nurses; Deb, Julie and Wayne and Celtic Hospice support staff. There have been so many that crossed her path, so if you are not mentioned above, please accept our sincere thanks as well.
Nancy's wishes were to not have a funeral service or a memorial. We are happily honoring her request. We will continue to celebrate her life every day and hold her near and dear in our hearts.
The family requests that in Lieu of flowers that you would so kindly make a donation, in memory of Nancy J. Miller, to Pink Hands of Hope. Located at 5325 E Trindle Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Or you can visit their website http://pinkhands.org. Nancy is a breast cancer survivor since 2008. Unfortunately, in 2009, she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Pink Hands of Hope opened their hearts to us and gave Mom some things to help comfort her through chemotherapy. Their kindness touched our hearts.
