Muriel I. Smillie

Muriel I. Smillie, 86, of Liberty Twp., OH, died Saturday January 5, 2013 in her daughters home.
Born August 4, 1926 in Louisville, KY, she was a daughter of the late Mitchell and Venus Crozier Irvin and the widow of Edward W. Smillie.
Mrs. Smillie was a graduate of Nyack College, NY. Her husband formerly served as district superintendent to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Charlotte, NC. He was also formerly a CMA pastor in Fairmont, WV and Raleigh, NC.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Gene Rodger Smillie and his wife Susan of Chicago, IL; one daughter, Martha L. Bunner and her husband Richard of Liberty Twp., OH; one sister, Helen Sawyer of Carlisle, PA; one brother, Dr. Maurice Irvin of Norwalk, CT; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Muriel was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Donald Irvin.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
