May I. Butler, 87, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at home.
Born December 2, 1923 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late S. Leroy and Florence Orshall Calaman.
She retired from Piezo Crystal, Carlisle. May was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle and a member of AARP.
Surviving are two sons, Lawrence M. Butler of Carlisle and Gerald L. Butler of Carlisle, one daughter, Diane M. Shunk of New Bloomfield, one brother, John Calaman of Emporia, KS, two sisters, Mildred Walter of Carlisle and Stella Kautz of Mechanicsburg, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn R. Hinds, one sister, Jean Thompson and two brothers, Charles and Marlin Calaman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Joshua Masland officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
