Mary K. Witmer

Mary K. Witmer, age 96, formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Country Meadows of Lancaster.
She was born in Harrisburg, PA on July 1, 1919 to the late Joseph E. and Mary B. Shuler Miller and was the widow of Rodney M. Witmer who passed on May 24, 2004.
Mary retired from the former Reeves-Hoffman Crystal Plant in Carlisle and was a member of Barnitz United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading, knitting and some crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn M. (and husband Warren) Bobb of Palmyra; three granddaughters, Lisa K. Thomas of Lancaster, Rebecca A. Killinger of Carlisle and Bethany L. Evans of Hershey; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Eckrich and a brother, Joseph H. Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Matthew D. Plant officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
