Mary Jane Lobato

Mary Jane “MJ” Lobato, 72 of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at home.
She was born July 6, 1947 in Bryn Mawr, PA, daughter of the late John and Jane (Hertzler) Sheafer.
MJ retired as a lab technician from Carlisle Hospital after 48 years of service. She was a certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist honored by the American Board of Clinical Pathology in celebration for over 4 decades of service. She was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, loved tracking her family’s genealogy, swimming, where she could float around for hours, spending time in the mountains, woods and at the ocean. She loved her dogs, her family and her friends, but most of all, she loved spending time with her pride and joy, her son, David.
She is survived by her son David, and wife Kendra, Carlisle, sister, Patricia Frey, Carlisle and also survived by many family members of the Hertzler Family (You all know who you are).
Family will receive friends from 6:30pm to 8pm Thursday November 14, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Carlisle CARES, 50 W. Penn Street Carlisle, PA 17013.
