Mary E. Harris, 81, of Newville, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
She was born on September 6, 1933 in Carlisle to the late Charles and Marie Raudabaugh Smith and was the widow of Donald R. Harris.
Mary was a graduate of Carlisle High School. She retired as a receptionist from the Office of Aging in Carlisle and formerly worked for Capitol Products of Mechanicsburg. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Carlisle and Cumberland County Democratic Society.
She is survived by two sons, Barry (and his wife Linda) Smith of Newville and Dean Smith of CA; a sister, Donna Barkley of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Michelle (and her husband Ed) Bourne of Carlisle and Cindy (and her husband Daniel) Klinger of Gardners; and four great-grandchildren, Ed and Alyssa Bourne, Brittany (and her husband Jayce) Marol and Jesse Klinger; and two great-great-grandsons, Brayden and Owyn Marol.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeanette Mater officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dickinson Presbyterian Church, 12 Church Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.
