Mary E. Barrick

Mary E. Barrick, age 87, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Forest Park Health Care Center, Carlisle.
She was born August 15, 1929 in Clearfield to the late Milton and Emma (Henry) Henry and was the widow of Robert A. Barrick, Sr.
Mary had worked at the Carlisle Hospital, Lamberton Middle School and Howard Johnson Restaurant. In her spare time, she enjoyed word search books and puzzles, as well as, spending time with her loving family. Mary had previously attended Bethel Evangelical Church, Carlisle and currently attended New Beginnings Loft, Carlisle.
She is survived by: her daughter, Rogena E. (and husband Roy J.) Hess of Carlisle; a step-daughter, Beverly A. Scott of Marion, OH; a step-son, Robert A. (and wife Beverly) Barrick, Jr. of Shippensburg; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by: a daughter, Heather Sue Barrick; a son, Roger William Henry; two brothers, Walter and Harold Henry; and three sisters, Louise Patterson, Ruth Lutz and Marjorie Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Amy Moreno and Pastor Paul J. Dunbar co-officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
