Mark B. Middleton, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Holy Spirit Hospital with his son and his wife by his side.
He was born October 31, 1947 in Plattsburgh, NY to the late Ralph K. and Lilian (Pavone) Middleton.
Mark honorably served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He moved his family to Carlisle from Norfolk, VA, to work for the former Stoner Associates. Mark was also employed by several other engineering firms over the years and his main focus was training and troubleshooting for software programs. He was a talented woodworker who built musical instruments, furniture for his home, and many other things his creative mind would think of. Mark was a talented musician, a great chef, and enjoyed hunting and shooting. He was a member of the Carlisle Gun Club and the Carlisle Fish and Game Club. Mark also loved cars and has restored many over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice C. Middleton of Carlisle; one son, Matthew B. (wife Erin E. Miller) Middleton of New York City, NY; two brothers, Clifton (wife Denise) Middleton of Smithfield, VA and David Sean Middleton of Jersey City, NJ; one sister, Kathi Middleton of Norfolk, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in upstate New York and Virginia.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mark to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
