Margot Karnes

Margot Karnes, 94, Carlisle, formerly of Bloomsburg, PA passed away peacefully January 15, 2020 at Church of God Home.
She was born September 17, 1925 in Germany to the late Paul and Felicitas (Kolb) Hofmann.
Margot was a Fiscal Assistant for Bloomsburg University and a member of St Matthew Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg, where she sang in the choir for 50 years and rang the bells.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Miller (Ken) Carlisle and Ingrid Watson and husband, Greg of Florida. Her grandchildren include Brett (Tina) Miller and Beth (John) Kajmowicz and great-grandchildren, Elijah Miller and Ryan and Jacob Kajmowicz.
Margot was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Matthew Karnes, son, Bill and her brother, Georg.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on February 8, 2020 at the Church of God Home Chapel 801 N. Hanover Street Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homeland Hospice 2300 Vartan Way Ste. 270 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
