Margaret G. Ludt

Margaret G. Ludt, 88, of Carlisle died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born Nov. 16, 1922, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Elmer C. and Elizabeth Fulton Ludt.

She was a Boiling Springs graduate, Class of 1940, and later a graduate of Carlisle Commercial College. Margaret retired as an executive secretary for C.H. Masland and Sons with 45 years of services. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, YWCA, Carlisle Hospital Auxiliary and volunteer service, AARP and Shamrocks, all of Carlisle.

Surviving are her brother, Leon Ludt (and wife, Irene) of Carlisle, and six nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, J. D. Paul, Robert, Fred, Otto, William, Charles and Herman Ludt; and two sisters, Mary Bitner and Florence Bistline.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. John L. Shellenberger Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
