Marcella Smith

Marcella Smith, 80, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Camp Hill.
She was born May 9, 1938 in Monroe, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Levy Baroche Medlin and Mary Gladys Covington Medlin. She married John T. Smith Sr; he preceded her in death on October 3, 1985.
Marcella enjoyed working on puzzles and in her garden. She could be found playing on her I-PAD as well as sitting outside enjoying the day.
Marcella is survived by two daughters and three sons: Marcella Dawn Kelley, of Carlisle, Johnny T. Smith Jr. and his wife Joyce, of Carlisle, Cameron Scott Smith and his wife Alice of Las Vegas, Nevada, Garth Justin Smith and his wife Jamie of Carlisle, and Joni Daneka Smith of Carlisle, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marcella was preceded in death by a sister: Annie Pate Haynes and by two brothers: Levy Baroche Medlin Jr. and Obie Barclay Medlin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
