Mac Wilson

Mac Wilson, age 83, of Boiling Springs, passed away, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
He was born February 6, 1934 in Boiling Springs to the late Jacob and Ruth (Kuhn) Wilson.
Mac was a 1952 graduate of Boiling Springs High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1953-1957 aboard the USS Hornet. Mac retired from United Telephone Company after 35 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing in the lake, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, summer Sundays playing softball, cross country skiing on the farm and spending winter weekends playing ice hockey at the ore hole in Boiling Springs. Mac was a lifelong member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Carlisle. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and nothing made him happier than spending time with his family.
He is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Doris Jean (Brenneman) Wilson of Boiling Springs; three children, Barry (and wife Caryn) Wilson of Carlisle, Connie (and husband Terry) Weiss of Carlisle and Debbie (and husband Ron “Andy”) Anderson of Boiling Springs; six grandchildren, Joseph C., Jacob T. and Jarrett L. Wilson, Ashlynn and Taylor Weiss and Chelsea Anderson; two great-granddaughters, Emily Wilson and Charlee Wilson; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mac was preceded in death by five brothers, C. Robert, Durward, Wendell, J. Leslie and F. Edward Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Daniel Dennis as officiant. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
