Lois E. Devenney, 77, of Carlisle, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born June 7, 1936 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Snyder Devenney.
She was a member of ABWA (American Business Women's Association); a member of Sweet Adelines; and a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano.
Surviving are one brother, Lee DeVenney (and wife, Helen) of Mt. Holly Springs; two nieces, Leanne Grover (and husband, Duane) of Wasilla, AK and Karyn Lang (and husband, Jeff) of Newark, DE; and one nephew, Edmund DeVenney (and wife, Colleen) of North Olmstead, OH. Also seven great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great-nephew, Mitchell L. Grover.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Mira Hewlett officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
