Lillian Dorothy (Claridge) Thomas; June 24, 1922-ApriI 25, 2014.
Born in Richmond Victoria Australia to the late David and Violet Wheatly Claridge. She was the oldest of five children all of whom are deceased (Edna, Essie, David and Betty).
Lillian was in the Royal Australian Air Force during WWII. She worked at the PX in the jewelry department in Carlisle for 20 years.
Loving wife of John (Jack) Ivor Thomas born in New Castle, PA and lived with Lillian in Carlisle, PA.
Dearest mother of Beverley Faith Joy Thomas Higgins and John David Thomas (Yvonne Taylor Thomas) of Sebastopol Victoria Australia.
Loving grandmother of Kari Higgins Rowley (Robert G. Rowley) of Seneca Falls, NY , Kevin Higgins (LaLannie Ovenshire) of Waterloo, NY, Lillian Thomas Gray (Andy Gray Newcaslte upon Tyne) of Hinesville, GA and John David Thomas Jr. of GA.
Very loving great grandmother to Tommy McKnight, Sydney, Alec and Tommy Rowley, Brandyn Higgins and Bethany Ovenshire.
Lillian lived a full and wonderful life with residence all over the world. She loved Joe Paterno and Penn State football (her bumper sticker read: I bleed Blue and White). She will live in the hearts and minds of her family and friends for all of eternity.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Chaplain Lt. Col. William T. Barbee officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 pm Monday, May 5, 2014 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
