Leroy B. Sheaffer

Leroy B. Sheaffer, 78, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Born September 16, 1938 in Carlisle to the late John and Gertrude Sheaffer.
Leroy loved to spend his free time playing baseball in town leagues, bowling at the Eagles and watching the Phillies. He was formerly employed as a school bus driver by Big Spring School District, by C H Masland and Sons Inc., as a delivery driver at Georges Flowers and later retired from the Carlisle Hospital. Most of all, he will be remembered as a loving, giving husband and father who took his children hunting and coached their sports teams.
He is survived by his wife or 56 years, Lillian C. Sheaffer of Carlisle; two sons, Jeffery (and wife Louanne) Sheaffer of Port Royal and Terry (and companion Jody Brenneman) Sheaffer of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Jason (and wife Carolyn) Sheaffer, Jeffery (and wife Amanda) Sheaffer Jr., Tammy Sheaffer and Abigail Sheaffer and one great-grandson, Owen Sheaffer. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA. Services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
