Leon E. Lebo

Leon E. Lebo, age 81, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
He was born April 7, 1936 in Carlisle to the late Grant and Carrie (Mountz) Lebo.
Leon worked for AMP Inc. and TYCO where he retired after nearly 40 years. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting and gardening and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #1299. Leon was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.
He is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Virginia A. (Peiper) Lebo of Carlisle; five children, Kimberly A. (husband Mike) Beasom of Harrisburg, Scott A. (wife Regina) Lebo of Carlisle, Brenda M. (husband Craig) Kurtz of Herndon, VA, Jodi C. (husband Jeff) Andrysick of Hammondsport, NY and Diana M. (husband Eric) Kammerer of Downingtown; four siblings, Faye Koontz of Shippensburg, Wayne (wife Mary) Lebo of Carlisle, Gladys Hoover of Chambersburg and Virginia (husband Kenneth) McCoy of Carlisle; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Leon was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Barrick.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
