Lela K. "Lil" Norrell

Lela K. "Lil" Norrell, 78, of Carlisle died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at her home.
Born March 29, 1935 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Keck and Anna Mae Hoover Carey.
She retired from P. R. Hoffman Crystal Plant after over 20 years of service. She later worked part-time for Manor Care Health Services, Carlisle. Lil was a very particular housekeeper who loved her family and dogs very much. She also enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Stanley S. Norrell of Carlisle; three children, Debra Bear (and husband, Sylvester) of Newville, Stanley R. Norrell of Mt. Holly Springs, and Frances McKillip of Carlisle; one sister, Esther Cline of Gardners; three grandchildren, Mindy Hurley (and husband, Chris) of Newville, Robyn McKillip of Newville, and Cholena Norrell of Alaska; two great-grandsons, Magarron Frey and Luke Hurley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lil is also survived by her dog, Snuggles. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Daniel Keck and step-father, Chester Carey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
