Lee H. Morrison

Lee H. Morrison, 94, of Carlisle, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.
Born February 22, 1923 in Carlisle to the late John and Sara (Hench) Morrison.
Lee honorably served his country in the US Army during WWII. He landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day and was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star for his valor and service. Lee loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding in his spare time. He was previously employed by Federal Equipment Company as a carpenter, Byers Lumber Company as a manager and retired as a mailman for the USPS.
Lee is survived by: his wife of 70 years, Mildred A. (Dunkleberger) Morrison of Carlisle; one son, George (wife Dot) Morrison of Berwick and one daughter, Connie Morrison of Carlisle. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Morrison and two sisters, Faye Woods and Helen Gill.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday December 23, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Daniel Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lee to Bethany Evangelical Church 558 Petersburg Road Carlisle, PA 17015.
