Lee H. Castles

Lee H. Castles, 80, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in his home.
He was born June 8, 1938 in Mechanicsburg to the late Hugh W. and Mildred Ruth (Heastings) Castles and was the widower of Isabel (Coulson) Castles.
Lee was a 1957 graduate of Carlisle High School. He honorably served his country in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Lee was the owner / operator of Castles Lumber Company and Castles Commons. He was a gifted athlete who was inducted into the South-Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2009 and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Carlisle Athletic Association. Lee was a former President of the board of directors at the Carlisle Family YMCA. He was a long-time member of Rotary Club of Carlisle where he received his Paul Harris Fellow designation. Lee was also a long-time member of the Bailey Club International.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Lee was preceded in death by his brother, John H. Castles.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. William Schmid STM officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
