Larry Walters, 73 of Carlisle, died Thursday December 20, 2012 in Green Ridge Village, Newville.
Born July 9, 1939 in Mt. Holly Springs, he was the son of the late Jacob and Geraldine Killian Walters and the widower of Nancy Hair Walters.
Larry was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He retired from the former Duplex Printing Company, Mechanicsburg in 1996. Mr. Walters was a long-time member of the Middlesex United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Peabody and her husband Chris, Boiling Springs, two granddaughters, Danielle Dagen and her husband Jonathan, Mt. Holly Springs and Heather Peabody and her companion, Nicholas Shank, Carlisle, three great-grandchildren, Chase and Brynley Dagen and Isabella Shank, two brothers, Edward Walters, Mechanicsburg and Kenneth Walters and his wife Sharon, Gainesville, FL, two sisters, Deloris Mentzer, Carlisle and Susan Alspaugh, Boiling Springs. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Lee Walters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 N. Middlesex Road, Carlisle, with the Pastor Jan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am Thursday until the time of the service in the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
