Larry M. Twigg, 59, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at his home.
Born February 29, 1952 in Oldtown, MD, a son of the late Roy M. and Marie Davis Twigg.
He retired after 20 years of service from the US Air Force, including 11 years as a recruiter and 4 years in the Air Force Honor Guard. He retired from the PA Department of Corrections in Camp Hill after 15 years. He was a driver of a tour bus for Rohrer Bus, Duncannon. He was the owner of Bus 9, Allegany County, MD. He currently worked at Bedford Valley Petroleum. He also farmed in Oldtown, MD. He was a member of the David Memorial United Methodist Church, Cumberland, MD.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Brenda Sheetz Twigg of Carlisle; one son, Ryan Twigg (and wife, Helena) of Carlisle; one daughter, Larenda Twigg of England; one sister, Vicki Koch of Port Orange, FL; and two grandchildren, Natalie and Logan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cumberland, MD with Rev. Robert Wellman officiating. Burial will be in Oliver’s Grove United Methodist Cemetery, Oldtown, MD. A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle. Also from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Scarpelli Funeral Home.
