Larry J. Runk Ii

Larry J. Runk II, age 54, of Millerstown, PA passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his residence.
He was born April 10, 1962 in Carlisle, PA to Loretta (Swarner) Runk and the late Larry James Runk.
Larry was a 1980 graduate of Big Spring High School and was proud of having been an Eagle Scout. He was the owner/operator of Bill's Mechanical & Welding, Carlisle for more than 35 years. He loved going to car shows and particularly loved classic cars. Larry enjoyed boating at Raystown Lake, fishing, hunting and hiking the Appalachian Trail. He truly loved living in the mountains in Perry County. He also enjoyed watching races and football.
He is survived by his son, Larry James Runk III and his former wife, Rebecca Runk, both of Mt. Holly Springs. In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Runk and his brother, Scott A. Runk.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Linda Maifair officiating. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
