Lanny H. Tewell

Lanny H. Tewell, age 67, of Newburg, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at his home.
He was born June 18, 1950 in Everett, PA to Iva Jane (Foor) Tewell and the late Hubert R. Tewell.
Lanny was well known at craft shows as a talented leather artisan.
In addition to his mother, Lanny is survived by: his sister, Cindy L. Tewell of Chambersburg; two nephews, Justin H. Hill of Philadelphia and Pierce D. (wife Allison) Weaver of Leawood, KS; and great-niece and nephew, Kieran M. Hill and Fiona K. Weaver.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Everett Cemetery, Everett, PA. There will not be a viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Attn: Treasury, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
