Kenneth J. Martin

Kenneth J. Martin, 59, of Newville, PA passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 with his loving family at his side.
Kenny was born in Windber, PA.
Know as Poppy by his grandchildren; Ken was a loving, kind and dedicated father, grandfather, husband, son, brother and friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved hugs and kisses most of all. Ken was a dock worker for YRC Freight of Carlisle for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of Windber Area High School Class of 1978 and was on their Varsity Football Team. Ken was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers Fan as well as an avid deer hunter. He will be sadly missed by his companion, his little dog Sofie.
He is survived by his son, Matthew J. Martin of Shippensburg, PA., daughter Stephanie A. Bosso and husband Michael and their four children, Jackson, Ethan, Rowan and Dominic all of Gardners, PA. As well as survived by his mother Peggy I. Kiss Martin of Windber, PA., a brother Joe J. Martin of Windber, PA., three sisters, Sharon M. Lehman and her husband Bob of Windber, PA., Cindy L. Glatz and husband John of Carlisle, Eileen R. Swank and husband Dan of Cumming, GA., mother in law Joyce Ulasky of Windber, PA., two nieces, Missy and Lori and two nephews, Patrick and Nicholas.
He is joined in peace by his father Harold J. Martin of Windber, PA., and wife of 38 years Kimberly Ann Ulasky Martin.
There will be a public viewing on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA from 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM.
Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
