Katheryn A. Mackereth

Katheryn A. “Kay” Mackereth, age 84, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born December 22, 1932 in Cumberland, MD to the late Francis and Edith (Smith) Fradiska.
Kay enjoyed cooking, playing cards and loved playing the PA lottery. Her husband Bill and their children truly meant the most to her.
She is survived by: her husband of 66 years, Leonard W. “Bill” Mackereth, Jr. of Carlisle; a daughter, Jerry Lynn (husband Paul) Myers of Duncannon; a son, Leonard W. Mackereth, III of Montebello, CA; two grandsons, Jerry. L. Corle and Jason L. Corle, both of Carlisle; and two great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Kay’s wishes, there will not be any services. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
