Karen L. (Deaner) Ilgenfritz

Karen L. (Deaner) Ilgenfritz, age 49, of Newville, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her residence after a long battle with cancer.
She was born October 9, 1966 in Harrisburg to Robert Deaner of Carlisle and the late Dorothy (Erney) Deaner.
Karen worked as an analyst for 27 years for United Telephone, Sprint, Embarq and the current Century Link. She was a member of the VFW Post #477 of Carlisle and enjoyed camping, NASCAR and dirt track racing.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Keith Ilgenfritz of Newville; a step-son, Ryan (and wife Tasia) Ilgenfritz of Carlisle; grandchildren, Camden and Cole Ilgenfritz; a sister-in-law, Margaret Deaner; and her niece and nephew, Sarah and Jesse Deaner. In addition to her mother, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, William Deaner and her step-mother, Lindora Deaner.
In accordance with Karen's wishes, there will not be a viewing or service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter.
