June E. Gutshall

June E. (Morrison) Gutshall, age 92, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle. June was born in Carlisle on January 3, 1926 to the late John and Mary (Griffie) Morrison. She married Glen “Gus” Gutshall on June 2, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1988.

June was a graduate of Carlisle High School. She was a homemaker and longtime member of Middlesex United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, church activities, dog sitting and doll collecting.

June is survived by her sons, Glen “Skip” Gutshall and wife Shelby and Kirby Gutshall, both of Carlisle; sister, Shirley Snyder and husband Richard of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Lauren Gutshall and husband Nathan Kresge; Brett Gutshall and wife Corryn; and one great grandchild, Hazel Rae Gutshall.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Arlen Gutshall and brother, Leon Morrison.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3500 Spring Road, Carlisle with Vicar Greg Hartman officiating. Visitations will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA and Thursday, November 1, 2018 at St. Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery.
