Joyce A. Miller

Joyce A. Miller, 83 years of age died on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Church of God Home Carlisle with her family at her side. She was born in Carlisle, PA on December 24, 1935 to the late William R. and Grace Bittinger Adams.
Joyce had retired from the Cumberland County Prothonotary Office as a clerk for over 23 years. She had also helped her husband Cloyd with their family farm here in Carlisle. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former Sunday School Teacher. Joyce was an active North Middleton Republican Committee Women from 1964 till 1996. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School Class of 1953. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, but her loving family meant the most to her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Cloyd N. Miller, two sons, Timothy C. and his wife Jana Miller of Sayre, PA, Mark N. Miller and his companion Bobbi Jo Koch of Carlisle; her step-mother, Jean Adams of Carlisle; two step sisters, Ginnie Hertzler and her husband Jim, and Carol Shevlin and her husband Phil all of Carlisle. There are four grandsons, Ben, Austin, Josh and Justin Miller. Joyce was also preceded in death by a brother William Adams
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Rd. Carlisle with her Pastor Titus Clarke officiating. Interment will be held at the Westminster Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 AM till time of services.
