Joshua Michael Shirk

Joshua Michael Shirk, 31, of Carlisle, died suddenly at his residence on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
Joshua was born in Carlisle to his parents Michael S. Shirk of Falling Waters, WV and Brenda K. (Murphy) Shirk of Gaithersburg, MD.
He graduated from South Brunswick High School in Boiling Springs, NC and served in the U.S. Navy during peacetime.
In addition to his loving parents, Joshua is survived by his sister, Amy M. (Etter) Beitler and husband Jeffrey, Gardners, PA. Also surviving are two nieces, Taylor N. Etter and Taryn M. Mentzer and two nephews, Daniel E. and Devin R. Beitler.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the services at the funeral home.
