Jane L. Crosswhite

Jane L. Crosswhite, 74, of Carlisle died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Born January 14, 1939 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Eugene P. and Bernice Alexander Zeigler.
She was retired as a high school educator with the South Western School District, Hanover. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School and East Stroudsburg University. Jane received her Master's Degree in Education from Penn State University. She was a member of the Cumberland County Historical Society and the A.A.U.W. (American Association of University Women). She enjoyed traveling extensively, bridge, reading, gardening, and especially the time she spent with her loving husband, Larry and their children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Larry J. Crosswhite of Carlisle; three sons: Michael L. Crosswhite (and companion, Deb Moran) of Hanover, PA, Douglas B. Crosswhite (and companion, Nancy Inge) of Dickerson, MD, and David A. Crosswhite (and wife, Betsy) of Wilmette, IL; and three grandchildren: Wesley, Shane and Jenna Crosswhite.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Daniel L. Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
