Helen E. Freeman

Helen E. Freeman, age 89, of Carlisle, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at her home.
She was born May 26, 1927 in Carlisle to the late Simon and Pearl (Heckman) Stum and was the widow of Harold L. Freeman who passed February 13, 2013. They had been married 66 years.
Helen retired from Troy Laundry after 42 years of service.
She is survived by: her son, Leroy (and wife Vickey) Freeman of Carlisle; her daughter, Barbara, of the Poconos, PA; brothers, Donald Stum of Carlisle and Harold Stum, both of Carlisle; a sister, Lois Negley of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren (especially Kyler, her life's dedication).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Chaplain Roger Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
