Harvey Preston Sunday, 90, of Carlisle, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.  Born February 10, 1920 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Gertrude Preston Sunday and the widower of Helen E. Hershey and Mary K. Bollinger.
He attended Carlisle High School and Harrisburg Academy where he studied business.  He farmed for fifty years in Silver Spring Township, and he was the owner/operator of The Country House Restaurant in New Kingstown and a golf driving range.  He also had an early career as an accountant, and a later career in real estate with Jack Gaughen Realty.   
Harvey was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Carlisle, where he served as an elder.  
He was a school board member for 12 years at Cumberland Valley High School, a past president of the Central Pennsylvania Restaurant Association, a member of the Lions Club, and the past treasurer of Carlisle Air Modelers.  He was also a US Army veteran who served during WWII. 
Surviving are two sons, Richard C. Sunday of Pompano Beach, FL and Thomas C. Sunday of New Kingstown, one daughter, Jill E. Bartoli of Carlisle,  ten grandchildren: David, Daniel, Stephen, Catherine and Patrick Bartoli, Heather Diss, Erin English, Hilary Fager, Andrea Hallet, Christine Desjardins, and 12 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Sunday.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle with Rev. Jennifer McKenna officiating.  Burial will be in Letort Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sankofa Scholarship Fund, Holistic Hands Community Development Corporation, 2111 N. Fourth Street, Harrisburg, PA  17110.
