Harold E. "Son" Lowe, Jr.

Harold E. "Son" Lowe, Jr., age 73, of Shermans Dale passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at his home with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born on June 1, 1942 in Shermans Dale, PA to the late Harold E. and Sara Dick Lowe, Sr. and was the widower of Mary Lou Harry Lowe who passed in 2006.
Harold retired from the former Sheaffer & Weary Automotive dealership in Loysville after 8 years of employment, had formerly been employed by the Midway Garage for 32 years and then the Swartz Garage for 5 years. Son attended Trinity United Church of Christ in New Bloomfield and was a member of the Shermans Dale Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting and "being the best mechanic around".
He is survived by his wife, Arlene M. Heckert Paige Lowe of Shermans Dale; a daughter, Deborah Jumper of Carlisle; two brothers, Dean (and wife Vickie) Lowe and Robert (and wife Deloris) Lowe; a sister, Donna (and husband Terry) Fisher, all of Shermans Dale; two grandsons, Jacob S. (and Katie) Kleckner, Jr. of Newville and Jethro D. Kleckner of Carlisle; three great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kolton and Alexis; a step-daughter, Dava Paige and Art Revere of Carlisle; two step-grandchildren, Joshua and Joseph Revere; nieces, Melissa McKissick, Andrea Brindle, Jessica Stewart and Megan Carver; and nephews, Tom, Chuck, Troy, Nathan, Bob and Sam Lowe. Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Sam" Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. N. Jefferson Brewster officiating. Interment will be at Young's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Shermans Dale. There will be a viewing from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2015 and on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
