Hannah R. Miller

Hannah R. Miller, age 89 passed away Wednesday December 4, 2019 in her home at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle, PA.

She was born March 12, 1930 in Carlisle, daughter of the late Wilson Robert and Christine Stuart Ritter.

Hannah graduated from Carlisle High School, Class of 1948. She attended Kutztown College, Dauphin School of Art and graduated from the Carlisle Hospital LPN school in June 1956. Hannah was a devout Christian and became a member of several churches throughout her life. She joined The Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe April 2007.

She is survived by her daughters, May B. Mongue, Portland, Maine, Christine S, Hollinger, Seattle, Washington, E. Dru Miller, Duncannon, PA. and her grandsons; Justin and Ethan Mongue. Hannah's nieces and nephew's are of great importance to her, especially the love and care from Jennifer Demarinis and Mary Ginder. In addition to her parents, Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Miller, brothers, Baird S. Ritter and Robert E. Ritter and sister, Mary “Molly” S. Haayen.

At Hannah’s request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held April 18, 2020 at The Henry Chapel, Carlisle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe's Benevolent Fund, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 or CPARC, 71 Ashland Avenue, Carlisle, PA 17013.

Hannah's family would like to express a special thank you to all of the staff at Chapel Pointe and Hospice of Central PA for their compassionate care and support.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
