Greta V. Peffer

Greta V. Peffer, 82 years old, formerly of Mechanicsburg, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born in Carlisle, PA on April 20, 1932 to the late Daniel S. and Velma G. Griffey Renshaw and was the widow of Paul E. Peffer to whom she was married for 56 years.
She was retired from the Cumberland Valley School District as a cafeteria cook in 1992. She was a member of Moehler's Meeting House in Mechanicsburg. Greta was an avid bowler, enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening and loved animals. But most of all, she was a big socialite.
She is survived by a son, Robert D. Peffer and his companion, Roger Nisewarner of Mechanicsburg and a daughter, Lee Ann Peffer and girlfriend, Lissette Gonzalez of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle. Officiating will be Brother Robert Lichtenberger. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. There will be a viewing Sunday evening, February 8, 2015 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
