Grace V. Clark

December 31, 1925 — November 11, 2020

Grace V. Clark, 94, of Carlisle, left this world and joined her Heavenly Father on November 11, 2020. Born in Loysville, on December 31, 1925, she was a daughter of John H. Rice and Sara V. (Brunner) Rice. Grace graduated from Blain Vocational High School and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

In 1947 Grace married the love of her life, Lester L. Clark, who preceded her in death in 1994.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen A. (David) Smolizer, Camp Hill; Frances J. (Michael) Garman, New Cumberland; Elizabeth A. (Dennis) Campbell, Elliottsburg; Lester L. Clark II, Elliottsburg and Lisa J.(Lester H Jr.) Knier of Hanover. Grace is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Paul Rice; John Rice; Erma Sheibley; Allienne Bair; Sara Lebo and Lenore Snyder.

Grace was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and loved them beyond measure. She loved to play parcheesi, garden and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chapel Pointe of Carlisle, 770 South Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110. The family expresses appreciation to the caregivers at Chapel Pointe and Hospice staff who so lovingly cared for her - especially in her final days.
