Glenn Lester Cline

Glenn Lester Cline, 73, of Carlisle, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1939 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Bruce and Isabel Karper Cline.
He retired as district manager for Giant Food Stores at the age of 48. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where he served as usher; a member of Thelma McCullough’s Sunday School Class, and a member of Elks BPO Lodge 578, Carlisle. Glenn enjoyed fishing, spending time at his cabin, hunting, and gardening in his yard. He especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of fifty three years, Shirley Cline of Carlisle; one son, Alan B. Cline (and wife, Janel) of Carlisle; one daughter, Denise C. Stasyszyn (and husband, Joseph A.) of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Jordan A. and Kelsey N. Stasyszyn and Jacob A. Cline; brothers and sisters, Robert Winters of Boiling Springs, Jack Winters of Florida, Ann Paulus of Carlisle, Melvin Cline of Mechanicsburg, and Dale Cline of Mechanicsburg, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Jerry Winters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church, 45 South West Street, Carlisle with Rev. James E. VanZandt and Rev. Dr. Marlin Snider co-officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
