Geraldine Lola Husler

Geraldine "Lola" Husler, 92, of Green Ridge Village, Newville, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Village.
She was born in Carlisle, March 30, 1922, to the late Wilbur and Myrtle Brown Salisbery and was the widow of Thared O. Husler, to whom she was married for 53 years.
Gerry retired from P.R. Hoffman Crystal Plant and had formerly worked at the Bedford Shoe Co. and the former Newville Shoe Co. She was a member of Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle. She was always there as a babysitter to all of her family and attended all of her children's and grandchildren's activities. Gerry enjoyed gardening, cooking, bingo, crocheting and being with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Heston V. (and his wife Vicky) Husler of Mechanicsburg, Gary E. (and his wife Joan) Boyd of Centerville and Aldon S. (and his wife Debbie) Husler of Dillsburg; a daughter, Linda K. (and her husband Robert) Etter of Newville; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Boyd and a grandson, Heston James Husler.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Hoffman & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Linda Lambert. Interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
