George Lusk

November 23, 1932 — October 24, 2014

George M. Lusk, 81 of Newville, died Friday, October 24, 2014 in his residence.
Born on November 23, 1932 in Helen, GA, to the late Cecil and Fannie Vandiver Lusk.

George was retired US Army Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Conflict, serving his country for 20 years and retiring as a First Sergeant. He retired after 19 years after as a Design Engineer for the Raytheon Corp., in MA. He was a member of the American Legion Post, #421 Newville. George was an avid woodworker, jack of all trades and he could fix almost anything that his family would need fixed. He was a man of a great sense of humor, he enjoyed the time he spent with his loving wife, Arlene and his family but most of all loving dog Maci.

Surviving are his wife Arlene C. Aversa Lusk, Newville, three sons, Donald Lusk (wife Cindy), NH, John Dahl (wife Kris), NJ, Keith Lusk (partner Chris), NC, two daughters, Tina Zolla (husband Hank), MA and Christine Fox, of VA, a daughter-in-law, Gladys Lusk, NJ, a sister Maxine Seabolt (husband J. L.) of GA, a brother Winston Lusk (wife Maryann), GA, a sister-in-law Gail Capoano, NJ, many nieces and nephews, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, his first wife, Jeannette Lusk and a son, Bruce Lusk
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, October 26, 2014 in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Chaplain Arlene Dunn officiating. Military honors being provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
