Gayle Helen Mclaughlin

Gayle Helen McLaughlin, 83, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Cumberland Crossing Retirement Community, Carlisle.
Born September 16, 1930 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Ember and Helen Corman Rupp.
She was an avid reader and a great cook, who loved her family and her poodles. Gayle enjoyed spending time in cabins and traveling to the seashore. She had fond memories of traveling around the country with her husband in their younger years. Gayle was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong Phillies and Penn State fan. Gayle spent her life working as a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the family business.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-two years, Marlin L. McLaughlin; one daughter, Dianne H. Shuey (and husband, John) of Mechanicsburg; one son, Darryl McLaughlin of Carlisle; two sisters, Carol McLaughlin and Loretta Morrow; five brothers, Robert L., Laverne, Lester, Dennis, and Terry Rupp; two grandchildren, Janna Hahn and Bryan Shuey; and two great-grandsons, Bryce and Dylan Shuey. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Lloyd, Leland, Ronald, Donna, and Fay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Mira Hewlett officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2013 and 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday.
